In her 12-year professional career, you could say Rhonda Tolbert majored in customer service and minored in housing. Her roles in mortgage modification, hospitality, banking, social services, title and escrow, have perfectly prepared her to serve as a Home Is Possible Homebuyer Programs Specialist.
Rhonda loves to spend her days connecting people with the services they need. As a Homebuyer Programs Specialist, she gets to help Nevadans achieve their dreams of homeownership. She works with both homebuyers and partners — including lenders and real estate agents — to educate people about Nevada Housing Division homebuying programs.
Her current community outreach and education role makes good use of customer service skills she honed after years helping folks navigate challenging issues. Her reward is knowing that the programs she shares with her community help hard working low- and middle-income Nevadans, who otherwise might not be able to get into a home, become homeowners.
When she’s not making home possible for Nevadans, Rhonda LOVES to travel. She’s happy to be anywhere there’s sand; recent trips have taken her to Hawaii and the Dominican Republic. Handy with a tile saw and a nail gun, most weekends you’ll find this DIY homeowner working on her fixer-upper.
